Griha Pravesh Puja

Griha Pravesh Puja is a traditional Hindu ceremony performed to bless and inaugurate a new home. It is believed that performing this puja brings positivity, prosperity, and good fortune to the new occupants of the house. This ceremony is usually performed by a Hindu priest or pandit, who conducts the ritual according to Vedic traditions

Puja Samagri: The items required for the puja include coconut, incense sticks, flowers, camphor, ghee, honey, milk, curd, and sugar.

Idols and Pictures: The priest needs to bring idols of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Kubera, or photographs of these deities. These deities are believed to bring wealth, prosperity, and success to the new home.

Puja Room: A designated room in the new house needs to be selected for performing the puja. The room should be clean, and the puja area should be decorated with flowers, rangoli, and lights.

Once all the preparations are in place, the puja begins with a Ganesh Puja. This is followed by the Kalash Puja, which involves the consecration of a Kalash, filled with holy water, mango leaves, and a coconut.

After the Kalash Puja, the priest performs the Navagraha Puja, which is the worship of the nine planets, and then the Vastu Puja, which is the worship of the gods of directions. Finally, the priest performs the main GrihaPravesh Puja, which involves the invocation of the deities and seeking their blessings for the new home.

Griha Shanti Puja

Griha Shanti Puja is a traditional Hindu ceremony performed to bring peace, prosperity, and harmony to a home. The ceremony is usually performed before moving into a new house or when there are disturbances and conflicts within the family or household. The word 'Havan' is derived from a Sanskrit word called 'Homa', which means pouring into the fire, offering, and sacrifice. HavanKund is a material usually made up of copper available in different shapes and sizes, which is placed in the centre, in which they make offerings on fire. Along with this, chanting of mantras by Hindu Priest or by self is the most important part of performing Havan.

Satyanarayan Puja

The Satyanarayan Puja is performed in reverence to the Narayana form of Lord Vishnu. The Lord in this form is considered an embodiment of truth. Performing this puja in the evening is considered more appropriate. However one can do it in the morning as well. On the day of the puja, the devotee has to fast. After bathing the person can begin the puja.
